Pakistan vs Netherlands, World Cup 2023 Highlights: Haris Rauf takes 3 as PAK bundle out NED for 205, win by 81 runs



Haris Rauf took three wickets as Pakistan bundled out the Netherlands for 205 in their World Cup match at the Brisbane Cricket Ground on Monday, before chasing down the target with ease to win by 81 runs.

Rauf struck twice in his opening spell to remove the Dutch openers, and then returned to take the wicket of Colin Ackermann in the middle overs. Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan also picked up two wickets apiece, as the Netherlands were bowled out in 49.4 overs

Pakistan's chase got off to a good start, with Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam putting on a 56-run stand for the first wicket. Zaman was dismissed for 26, but Azam went on to score a fluent 74 before being caught behind off the bowling of Paul van Meekeren.

Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed then added 60 runs for the third wicket, to put Pakistan in a commanding position. Rizwan was dismissed for 39 after being trapped in front by Logan van Beek, but Ahmed went on to finish the match unbeaten on 50, as Pakistan reached the target in 43.2 overs.

Pakistan's victory was their second of the tournament, and they now move up to second in Group 2, behind leaders Australia. The Netherlands, meanwhile, remain bottom of the group with two losses from two matches.
